Yesterday I left you with a question.
"Which is more important, diet or training?"
Although we know the two go hand-in-hand because if you train hard and eat crappy food you won't get very far.
Because you can't out train a crappy diet.
You could eat the best, most healthy foods and make little progress and actually gain fat if you don't train the muscles.
Training comes first.
Because only training can stimulate muscle tissue growth through muscle tissue breakdown. The weight training breaks the tissue down and as the anabolic process starts the "healthy nutrients" from the foods build the muscle tissue back up and beyond its normal or past levels. More muscle and more strength.
A healthy diet alone won't do that.
In fact I've seen people who eat REALLY healthy foods but don't train actually get FAT!
As you age and the natural production of testosterone slows down then the more important food nutrients become for health and building fat free muscle tissue.
